Do you do custom work?

Yes! Please contact me with your ideas and I’d love to create them for you.

Where do you get your wood?

Some I buy, some I rescue from cut-off piles, some from firewood piles. Some wood comes from trees that had to be cut down or fell down.

Where are you located?

My shop is in Manchester, Connecticut. Careful packaging allows me to ship all over the country.

What’s your process?

All my pieces start with an idea. A great deal of time is spent on the design and adjusting the details. With many pieces I make several test cuts before finding the perfect piece of wood for the final product. After the wood is cut and assembled if appropriate, I add two part epoxy if the piece calls for it. Then comes sanding. Lots and lots of sanding. Initial sanding is done with a bench sander then a palm sander. Hand sanding continues to anywhere from 400 - 2500 grit. The final finish is a food-grade oil that gives each piece a beautiful luster and glass smooth surface.

How do I care for my piece?

Lightly wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Never use cleaners or let your piece soak in water. If after years of use your piece needs to be reoiled, contact me and I can provide specific instructions or have you send the piece back for a refinish.

Will my piece look exactly like the one pictured?

Likely no, every piece of wood is different and has its own character. I can send you images of the exact piece(s) I have complete or make something new just for you.
